Notre Dame – Victor Hugo (Hardcover, T. Nelson & Sons, c. 1920s–1930s)
This vintage T. Nelson & Sons edition of Notre Dame likely dates from the early 20th century (c. 1920s–1930s). Bound in red cloth with an embossed cover design, it has faded gracefully with time, and its pages show the familiar warm browning of a well-aged classic. Compact and handsome, it’s a wonderful example of Nelson’s popular pocket-sized editions.
Condition: Good vintage condition. Cloth faded, corners lightly worn, spine firm, pages browned but intact.
About the Author & the Novel:
Victor Hugo (1802–1885) was one of France’s greatest writers, poet, and statesmen. Notre Dame de Paris, first published in 1831 and more widely known as The Hunchback of Notre Dame, tells the dramatic story of Quasimodo, Esmeralda, and the grand cathedral itself, weaving together themes of love, justice, and fate. Hugo’s masterpiece helped inspire the preservation of Gothic architecture in Paris and remains a cornerstone of French literature.
