This one-of-a-kind quilt was lovingly made by Becky and Megan—two Navy spouses living far from the ocean, quilting together on a kitchen table in military housing on an Army base in Germany. They chose the cheerful garden fabric to brighten up the long gray winter and designed the quilt together as they went, letting creativity and friendship guide them.

As they stitched, they dreamed of future gardens and talked about the kids who grow up moving often—how a quilt like this could be a small anchor, a symbol of home.
